Job Description

We pride ourselves on exceptional service and customer satisfaction, and we are looking for an experienced and passionate server to help support our team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in the restaurant industry, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment, is capable of taking direction well and multitasking effectively.

Servers are responsible for greeting customers, taking food and beverage orders and submitting food orders to the kitchen staff. They must also verify that customers’ food and beverage orders are correct, of excellent quality and presentation, and deliver the orders to patrons. Servers ensure customers are satisfied with their meals, work with the kitchen to resolve any complaints and process customer payments. They increase customer retention and loyalty by providing fast, reliable and friendly service to all of their customers, as well as ensure the dining room is clean and safe at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking orders from customers
  • Answering questions about menu items, food sensitivities and food substitutions
  • Giving customers suggestions for food and drinks and telling them about any special menu items
  • Serving non-alcoholic beverages and delivering food to customers
  • Communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any complaints
  • Processing customer payments
  • Removing dirty dishes from tables to avoid clutter while customers are eating
  • Cleaning tables and chairs after customers have finished their meals
  • Sweeping and mopping underneath tables and chairs
  • Restocking condiments, silverware, and other necessary supplies

Qualifications

Bus Person

Job Description

A busser serves patrons by setting tables, placing and replacing silverware, keeping beverage glasses full, clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and environment, while adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Bussers support servers and other floor personnel in their duties.

Duties and Respnsibilities

  • Clear tables, remove tableware, and sort and stack used tableware
  • Keep dining area cleaned, sanitized, and well stocked
  • Remove trash bags from receptacles and replace trash liners
  • Assist food servers

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma preferred but not required
  • High dexterity, stamina and ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Diswasher

Job Description

Dishwashers unload the cutlery and dishes brought to the kitchen by Bussers while loading and organizing them into trays for the washer. They ensure all pots and pans used by the kitchen are scrubbed and sanitized. Dishwashers are responsible for taking garbage and trash to the dumpster area, washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors, assembling, maintaining and powering down the dish machine. Dishwashers may also be asked to perform additional tasks by cooks to support kitchen operations and efficiency.

Duties and Respnsibilities

  • Washing cutlery and dishes by running commercial dishwashers
  • Hand washing larger cooking equipment
  • Washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors
  • Assembling, maintaining and breaking down the dish machine
  • Prep work
  • Taking trash to the dumpster area and properly disposing of all restaurant refuse

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day
  • Ability to place cases, pans, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves
  • Ability to work in hot and damp environments
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations to avoid endangering themselves or others

Floor Manager

Job Description

Restaurant floor managers ensure that a restaurant meets its service and sales objectives. They supervise and direct the activities of staff to make sure that customers have a pleasant experience through prompt and polite service. Also, they fill in for any staff members in case of absenteeism and ensure that the overall function of the restaurant is managed properly. Typically, a restaurant floor manager works in a supervisory role – monitoring the quality of food that is prepared in the kitchen, compliance with local health and safety codes, and creating staff schedules is all in a day’s work for this professional. There is some administrative angle to this work as well i.e. they are also required to handle inventory and supplies and process employee payroll.
